Thomas L. Brown Associates, P.C. (TLB) offers a full range of services, including contract drilling, field explorations, in-situ testing, field instrumentation installation and monitoring, groundwater and environmental monitoring, laboratory testing and construction inspection. Leading by innovation, TLB applies the latest technological advancements in the field of geotechnical, pavements and materials engineering to solve complex design, construction and installation problems with pragmatic solutions.

TLB has its own engineering consulting capabilities, test boring equipment, in-situ testing/monitoring equipment, and AASHTO AMRL certified laboratory facility to determine the engineering properties of bituminous concrete, Portland Cement Concrete, soil index properties, compaction parameters, California Bearing Ratio's and unconfined compressive strength parameters of soils, rocks or concrete.

TLB is proud to be part of the team that was awarded the Federal Aviation Administration Northeast Region “Project of the Year 2004” award for the “Reconstruction of Runway 12-30 at Washington Dulles International Airport”. In addition, TLB was part of the team that was selected as the Team of the Year (2003) for consistently delivering the Airfield Pavement Panel Replacement project for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority in Washington, DC on time and with high quality.
